3 What information we collect and how we use it

3.1 Our Site (our Cookie Policy)

3.2 Our store

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our Products and Services to you.

Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases, and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its Service providers.

When you purchase something from our store we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. When you provide us with such information you are also giving consent for us to collect and use that data for that specific purpose of completing the transaction, fulfilling your order and communicating with you about the purchase.

3.3 Our Products and Services


During the process of registration, unlocking, licence validation, logging in, Product updates or upgrades, and during the provision of technical support, Vochlea may collect and use personal and technical information (“Usage Data”) for the improvement of our Products and Services, Product maintenance, and for the validation of adherence to our End-User Licence Agreement (“EULA”).

Training Data Sharing

On first use of the Software a User is given the option to permit “Training Data” sharing with Vochlea. Training Data is the discrete data created when training a new trigger or when recording input pitch for note fixing using the note collector.

The purpose of such data collection is for the improvement of the Software. Any Training Data, provided to the Company will always be stored and used with anonymity and in accordance with applicable governing law.

We do not capture, log or record any vocal or microphone data outside of the two training processes (adding a trigger and restricting notes using the note collector).

A User can change their preference for sharing Training Data at any time within the Software by using the following process:

  1. Open Dubler. In the top right hand corner of Dubler application click on the user icon.

  2. In the user pop up - click on the toggle switch next to “Training Data Sharing”

Green indicates data sharing is on. 
Red indicates data sharing is off.

3.4 General

If you sign up to our mailing list you we will collect your name and email address. In doing so you will have declared consent and opted in to targeted marketing communications.
